Conservative Infighting Erupts Over Tucker Carlson’s Stance on Israel and Iran

A deep divide has emerged inside the MAGA movement, catching President Donald Trump and his loyal base off guard. This week, conservative activist and longtime Trump supporter Laura Loomer launched a blistering attack on former Fox News host Tucker Carlson, accusing him of being “controlled by Muslims” and sympathetic to enemies of Israel.

Loomer, who has become an increasingly vocal figure in Trump’s orbit, claims Carlson’s recent comments on the Israel-Iran conflict are driven by foreign influence—particularly from Qatar, a nation known for funding radical groups like Hamas.

🔍 Is Tucker Carlson Pushing Anti-Israel Talking Points?

Loomer alleges that Carlson’s March 2025 interview with Qatari Prime Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani was not just journalism—it was Qatari propaganda. According to documents filed under the Foreign Agents Registration Act, a consulting firm named Lumen8 Advisors, paid $180,000 a month by the Qatari government, helped arrange the interview.

The Washington Examiner reported that this interview, which racked up millions of views on X and YouTube, showed Carlson lavishing praise on Qatar while avoiding tough questions about its support for Iran and Hamas.

Loomer didn’t hold back. “Carlson is giving friendly interviews to a regime funding terrorists. And people wonder why he’s soft on Iran,” she said on social media.

💥 Loomer Accuses Carlson of Selling Out America First Values

Loomer shared screenshots of the FARA filings and claimed over $200,000 was spent by Qatar to push the interview—implying Carlson was paid indirectly through intermediaries. While there’s no direct proof Carlson personally received payment, the optics have ignited a firestorm within the conservative base.

She also targeted one of Carlson’s financial backers, reportedly of Iranian and Pakistani descent, raising alarms over possible foreign influence inside Carlson’s media company. “Conservatives need to wake up,” Loomer warned. “Qatar and Iran are using money to manipulate patriotic Americans.”

🧨 A Long History of Controversy—and Influence

Loomer, who once called Islam a “cancer” and labeled herself a “proud Islamophobe,” has long been a controversial figure in right-wing politics. But despite media backlash, she’s recently gained traction within Trump’s inner circle and is rumored to have influenced major personnel changes—including the ouster of former National Security Advisor Mike Waltz.

Her claims about Carlson have split the MAGA base, with some defending Carlson while others demand answers.

🗣️ Carlson and Allies Deny Allegations

Carlson’s business partner, Neil Patel, issued a strong denial, calling Loomer’s accusations “false and defamatory.” He stated clearly that neither Carlson nor his network has ever taken “a penny from Qatar or any foreign country.”

Still, Carlson’s critics point to his friendly interviews with both Al Thani and Russian President Vladimir Putin as evidence that something has changed. Meanwhile, his recent aggressive on-air argument with Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) over Israel has only deepened suspicions among conservatives.

⚠️ A Battle for the Soul of the Conservative Movement

This controversy underscores a growing internal battle between America First nationalists and the increasingly vocal isolationist camp. At the center of it all is a simple but powerful question: Who is really standing with President Trump, Israel, and American values?

As 2025 heats up politically, grassroots conservatives are watching closely. With media powerhouses like Carlson under fire and loyalty to Trump being questioned, the MAGA movement faces one of its most serious tests yet.
