Who would have thought!?!
Just when the Republican Party couldn’t be anymore divided, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell does the unthinkable and actually celebrated Biden’s $550 billion infrastructure law in his own home state of Kentucky.
McConnell praised the massive amount of money and claimed that it was going to do great things for his state like repair aging bridges and will push economic development. McConnell even went as far as calling the deal from Biden a “godsend for Kentucky“.
“We have a lot of infrastructure needs” McConnell added.
According to Business Insider, the House recently passed the infrastructure bill with the support of 13 House Republicans. The bill will give $110 billion to repair roads and bridges, highways, and ports, another $66 billion to repair railways, and an additional $55 billion to replace lead pipes and supply clean drinking water.
McConnell was one of the 19 Republicans in Congress to vote for it in August and now former President Donald Trump is not happy for letting Biden have his major win.
“All Republicans who voted for Democrat longevity should be ashamed of themselves, in particular Mitch McConnell, for granting a two month stay which allowed the Democrats time to work things out at our Country’s, and the Republican Party’s, expense!” Trump stated.
