AOC needs an economics lesson.
Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., recently touted her efforts to stop Amazon from building its headquarters in New York City. A decision that could have ultimately led to the loss of thousands of jobs. She further attacked her critics who never apologized for slamming her for her decision.
However, her critics took to social media to once again slam Ocasio-Cortez for her statements calling for her resignation and stating that there was no reason that she “deserve an apology.”
On Friday, the Democratic lawmakers shared a Bloomberg story that detailed how Amazon was putting a pause on the construction of its second headquarters in Northern Virginia after the country had to proceed with many job cuts. Along with the Bloomberg article, Ocasio-Cortez tweeted that the reason for her opposition to having this Amazon project in New York is that it “was a scam of public funds.” She added that following her comments “Billboards went up in Times Sq denouncing me. Powerful pols promised revenge. Op-eds & CEOs insulted my intelligence.”
However, as she added in the end, they were proven to be right. In a following tweet, the lawmaker also criticized all those who had slammed her campaign to have the construction project blocked. She said that while she knows that she would never receive an apology for this case, her goal was protecting New York city residents, and they managed to do that.
You don’t deserve an apology, you should resign in disgrace.

amazon is moving 8,000 workers into a series of buildings it just constructed at the site, and — while navigating an economic downturn congress has facilitated — still intends to hire 25,000 by 2030. this woman is a fraud, and a liar. https://t.co/BXLdidHyLM
