They should change the laws!

Not long ago, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi made headlines after he defended her and her husbands right to continue to trade stocks and said it was a “free market” economy and that she and other politicians should be given the right to trade.

Now, new polling information has just revealed that a whopping 76% of voters strongly believe that lawmakers like Pelosi and others should not be allowed to trade stocks because they think they have an unfair advantage.

What’s worse is that only 5% of voters believed that politicians should have the right to vote and 19% of voters didn’t have an opinion on the topic.

What’s interesting about this poll which was conducted by The Hill is that is was surprising bipartisan.

70% of Democrats, 78% of Republicans, and nearly 80% of independent voters felt the same way about this issue.

Conservative group Convention of States Action’s, Mark Meckler, stated, “In an era of hyper-partisanship, voters in all parties agree that members of Congress should not be enriching themselves using ‘insider information’ while serving the people. This issue has received a lot of attention, and this data verifies the American people want this practice to end once and for all.”

Speaker Pelosi and others have made millions of dollars of the insider information they have collected. It’s highly unlikely that she or anyone in a Democrat controlled Congress will stop enriching themselves since they are the ones who are profiting.
