Top Republican Accuses Trump Of Sabotaging America

A longtime anti-Trump Republican is once again siding with the media and global elites — and conservatives across America are calling him out.

Former Arizona Senator Jeff Flake, a man best known for attacking his own party, is now accusing President Donald Trump of being “out of touch” with voters and “sabotaging” the country’s economy.

In an interview with CNN’s Erin Burnett, Flake claimed that a “Republican migration away from Trump” is happening because of what he called Trump’s “failure to understand affordability.”

“The president might try to avoid discussing the affordability crisis, but sooner or later he’ll have no choice,” Flake said. “This idea that prices have dropped across the board just isn’t true — Americans see the reality every day.”

But to many conservatives, Flake’s comments sound more like a desperate attempt to stay relevant than an honest critique.

The Establishment vs. America First

Flake — who left office rather than face defeat in a Republican primary — is taking aim at the same Trump policies that millions of Americans still support:
✅ Lower taxes
✅ Strong borders
✅ Energy independence
✅ And tariffs that protect U.S. jobs

He told CNN that tariffs are “inflationary” and claimed that the GOP has become “out of touch with where the economy is.”

But the reality? Under Trump, American families were thriving — energy was cheap, inflation was low, and jobs were returning home.

Today, under globalist economic pressure and lingering Biden-era policies, prices remain stubbornly high — and voters know it.

Flake Praises Republicans Who Defy Trump

Flake went on to praise “Republicans standing up to Trump” over the president’s calls to end the Senate filibuster. He argued that the party is moving away from the president’s policies and compared Trump’s message on affordability to Biden’s failed claims that inflation had gone down in 2024.

“The same predicament the president is now in,” Flake said, predicting a supposed “migration” away from Trump before the 2026 midterms.

But polls show otherwise. Trump remains the most popular figure in the Republican Party, dominating both primary and national surveys.

Flake’s History of Turning on His Own Party

This isn’t new for Jeff Flake. He’s built a career attacking conservatives while cozying up to Democrats and corporate media.

After leaving the Senate, Flake served as Joe Biden’s ambassador to Turkey, where he spent much of his time criticizing Trump’s America First agenda.

In a Washington Post op-ed, Flake accused Trump of “admiring autocrats” and claimed America’s global leadership was “in jeopardy.”

He even admitted in 2024 that he would vote for Kamala Harris over Trump — confirming what most conservatives already believed: Jeff Flake isn’t standing for Republican values anymore.

The Real Movement in the GOP

Flake may talk about a “migration,” but the real movement is going in the opposite direction — toward Trump and America First.

Across the country, new conservative candidates are embracing Trump’s message of secure borders, fair trade, lower taxes, and respect for law enforcement — not the weak globalism of the past.

Millions of older, patriotic Americans remember what life was like under Trump: affordable groceries, strong retirement accounts, and peace abroad.

That’s not sabotage. That’s leadership.
