A surprising shift on daytime TV as Alyssa Farah Griffin praises Trump supporters—liberal co-hosts aren’t happy.

A Shocking Shift on Liberal TV

In a rare break from the left-wing script, The View co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin admitted something the mainstream media rarely dares to say: Trump supporters aren’t the enemy.

“They’re good, decent people,” Griffin said on The View: Behind The Table podcast. “They deserve to be listened to and respected.”

For many longtime viewers of ABC’s liberal talk show, this comment came as a bombshell.

From Trump Critic to Voice of Reason

Griffin, who served in the Trump administration before resigning in late 2020, has often been painted as a “Never Trumper.” But since President Trump’s historic second-term win in 2024, her tone has noticeably shifted.

“When the election didn’t go the way I hoped, I reflected,” she said. “Instead of judging, I talked to real Trump voters—people who work hard, raise families, and love this country.”

Her comments reflect a growing divide between out-of-touch media elites and everyday Americans—especially those in small towns and the heartland who powered Trump’s return to the White House.

Media Bias Called Out

Griffin didn’t shy away from criticizing the media narrative surrounding Trump voters.

“What frustrates me is hearing media pundits ask, ‘How could you support him after this or that?’ But instead of guessing, why not actually talk to people?” she asked. “You’ll learn that they’re not blind followers—they’re motivated, informed, and fed up with a government that ignored them.”

With over 75 million Americans voting for Trump in 2024, Griffin said it’s time the left stops demonizing the working class.

“These are our neighbors. They’re not all bad people. They want safe streets, a strong economy, and to protect the Constitution,” she said.

Liberal Co-Hosts Lash Out

While some on the show, like executive producer Brian Teta, acknowledged Griffin’s consistency, others weren’t so diplomatic.

“I don’t agree with any of that,” co-host Sunny Hostin fired back—proving yet again how out-of-step Hollywood remains with everyday Americans.

Despite pushback, Griffin emphasized the need for civil conversation.

“If we want to change hearts and minds, we have to start with listening. Respect doesn’t mean agreeing—it means understanding where someone’s coming from,” she concluded.

Why This Matters

Griffin’s remarks come at a time when liberal media outlets continue to push divisive narratives, ignoring the concerns of working-class voters who feel abandoned by the political establishment.

As President Trump leads with an America First agenda in his second term, millions of patriotic Americans are demanding to be heard—and even unlikely voices like Griffin are beginning to listen.
