This has certainly narrowed it down.

According to The Hill, in a recent interview on “Meet the Press,” former President Donald Trump casually mentioned that he finds the idea of having a woman as his running mate appealing, but he emphasized that his ultimate choice will be based on selecting the most qualified individual.

He stated, “I like the concept, but we’re going to pick the best person. But I do like the concept, yes.”

As Trump seeks to broaden his appeal to a wider voter base, there have been speculations about potential candidates for the vice-presidential slot.

One notable contender is South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem, who has expressed her willingness to be Trump’s running mate without hesitation. Other names circulating as potential picks include Kari Lake, a candidate for Arizona governor, former White House press secretary and Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders, Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene from Georgia and even current 2024 Republican candidate Nikki Haley.

After a recent rally in South Dakota, Trump expressed his gratitude to Governor Noem for her endorsement, stating, “Kristi, I’m truly honored to receive your endorsement very much. I appreciate it. Thank you very much. It’s a great honor. Get endorsements, some good, some bad. I get endorsements. Some don’t mean anything. Hers means a lot. Let me tell you.”
