Here’s what conservatives need to know.

Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders made it clear this week that she has no plans to leave her role as the state’s chief executive to join President Donald Trump’s incoming administration. When asked by reporters about the possibility of returning to Washington, D.C., Sanders, who previously served as White House press secretary under Trump, gave a firm response.

“I’ve already announced my re-election bid, and I’m excited to continue serving as governor for the next six years,” Sanders said. “So, unfortunately for you all, it looks like I’m here to stay.” The remark underscored her commitment to serving Arkansas, where she became the first female governor in state history after winning a successful campaign in 2021 with Trump’s endorsement.

Having served as press secretary from 2017 to 2019, Sanders is no stranger to the national stage. Her leadership in the White House earned her a reputation as a fierce defender of President Trump and his agenda. Since then, she has focused on state-level issues, winning the governor’s office at just 40 years old—making her the youngest sitting governor in the United States.

While Sanders remains focused on her governorship, her father, former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee, is poised to make a significant return to Washington. President Trump recently announced Huckabee’s nomination as the next U.S. ambassador to Israel. Sanders expressed immense pride in her father’s nomination, calling it a well-deserved honor.

“I’m beyond proud of my dad,” Sanders posted on social media. “I’ve seen firsthand his unwavering love for Israel, and there is no one better suited to strengthen the bond between our two countries.” She reminisced about her first trip to Israel with her father at age 11, noting how deeply it had impacted her life. “There’s no one who could do more to serve both America and Israel than him,” she added.

As Sanders continues her work as governor, the Huckabee family remains a strong influence in American politics, with both father and daughter championing conservative values and strengthening U.S. alliances abroad.
