Trump certainly didn’t hold back.
Former President Trump on Tuesday criticized President Biden’s approach to the Israel-Hamas conflict, promising to resolve the Middle East situation if he is re-elected.
“Joe Biden is now desperately trying to address the chaos he caused in the Middle East because he’s worried about losing the election,” Trump remarked on Truth Social.
“We had stability in the Middle East, and we can achieve it again, but not with Biden in charge,” he added.
Trump’s comments came after Biden proposed a three-phase peace plan on Friday aimed at de-escalating the conflict between Israel and Hamas and facilitating Gaza’s reconstruction.
On Tuesday, Trump highlighted that there were no new wars during his presidency and assured that peace would return if he were elected for another term.
“NO MORE TERROR. NO MORE CIVILIAN CASUALTIES. NONE OF THIS SHOULD HAVE HAPPENED. It’s all due to Biden’s incompetence. I will resolve his mess and restore peace for all parties swiftly!” he asserted.
In presenting the peace plan, Biden emphasized that Hamas, which has received the proposal, has been weakened to the extent that it cannot launch an attack similar to its October 7 strike.
However, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has insisted that the conflict should continue until Hamas is entirely eliminated.
Biden suggested that Netanyahu might be extending the war for his political gain, telling Time magazine, “There is every reason for people to draw that conclusion.”
Biden, a longstanding advocate for a two-state solution between Israel and Palestine, stated that his main disagreement with Netanyahu concerns the post-war scenario.
