Trump Deploys The Marines

Trump isn’t playing games.

President Donald Trump has launched a powerful new move to defend America’s borders, authorizing the deployment of 200 U.S. Marines to Florida to reinforce Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) operations.

This deployment, announced Thursday by U.S. Northern Command (USNORTHCOM), is part of a growing federal crackdown on illegal immigration and signals that Trump is doubling down on national security.

“Marines will support ICE with logistics and admin functions inside detention facilities—but will not be involved in enforcement,” USNORTHCOM clarified.

Marines Sent to Back ICE in Florida

The Marines, part of Marine Wing Support Squadron 272 from North Carolina, will work behind the scenes to bolster ICE’s capacity in processing and logistics. Their duties include record management, transport coordination, and facility support.

Officials emphasized the Marines will not have any direct contact with illegal aliens or be involved in custody matters. This is strictly support—not policing.

This move follows Trump’s controversial but effective June deployment of 700 Marines to Los Angeles after violent protests erupted in response to ICE deportation raids. The raids were legally sanctioned, but drew fierce opposition from liberal politicians like California Governor Gavin Newsom and LA Mayor Karen Bass.

Despite the outrage, Trump held firm—insisting that federal law must be enforced.

More Troops Coming

Thursday’s deployment marks the first wave of a broader military effort. In June, the Pentagon greenlit up to 700 Department of Defense personnel to support ICE in Florida, Louisiana, and Texas.

“These service members will provide essential logistical and clerical support in ICE facilities, under strict federal guidelines,” said Pentagon spokesman Sean Parnell. “They will not engage in law enforcement activities.”

Standing Firm Against Chaos

President Trump’s administration continues to send a clear message: America’s laws matter, and the federal government won’t back down in the face of lawlessness or political pressure.

With U.S. Marines now backing ICE, the Trump White House is taking decisive action—restoring law and order and defending the rights of legal citizens across the country.
