And people say Trump isn’t the leader of the GOP.
As you likely already know, House Republicans have been battling for days to elect a new House Speaker and after hours of debate Republican Kevin McCarthy was finally elected.
The divide among House Republicans was massive and things got very intense at certain moments.
Now, according to Newsmax, it has been learned that McCarthy was only elected House Speaker after former President Donald Trump made an emergency call to the House chamber and personally spoke to Republicans Matt Gaetz and Andy Biggs to successfully close the deal.
Democrats and the mainstream media hate to admit it but Trump was the reason that House Republicans stopped bickering and finally elected McCarthy.
After McCarthy was officially named the House Speaker, Trump took to how social media platform and wrote, “Thank you Kevin. It was my great honor!”
McCarthy even acknowledged Trump’s efforts and said, “I do want to especially thank President Trump. I don’t think anybody should doubt his influence. He was with me from the beginning. Somebody wrote the doubt of whether he was there. And he was all in. He would call me and he would call others.”
“He really was — and I was just talking to him tonight — helping get those final votes,” McCarthy added.
Immediately after taking the House Speaker gavel McCarthy declared, “I hope one thing is clear. I never give up.”
Now House Speaker Kevin McCarthy, the House Republicans and former President Donald Trump can finally bring justice back to Congress and hold the Democrats accountable for all of their crimes and misdeeds.
