Democrats are furious about this.
In a decisive move to restore law and order, the Trump administration has begun notifying more than 530,000 migrants from Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua, and Venezuela that their temporary legal status has been revoked and they are expected to leave the United States immediately.
This major announcement targets individuals enrolled in Joe Biden’s highly controversial “humanitarian parole” program — a program that critics say fueled the illegal immigration crisis and undermined American workers.
Trump Official: “Biden Lied to the American People”
“This was never about compassion — it was a political stunt,” said Tricia McLaughlin, Assistant Secretary at the Department of Homeland Security.
“The Biden Administration lied to America,” she declared. “They allowed over half a million unvetted foreign nationals to enter our country, take American jobs, and exploit our broken system — all while blaming conservatives for the fallout.”
McLaughlin said civil servants were forced to rubber-stamp parole approvals, even when clear signs of fraud were present. “It was chaos. It was dangerous. And it was deliberate.”
The Biden Program That Opened the Floodgates
Launched in October 2022, Biden’s parole program permitted up to 30,000 migrants per month from select Latin American countries. Cubans, Haitians, and Nicaraguans were added in January 2023.
Though the program was sold as a “solution” to border surges, insider reports revealed massive fraud and abuse.
A 2024 review found:
- 100 addresses were used for over 19,000 applications
- The same phone numbers and IP addresses appeared repeatedly
- Fake Social Security numbers were commonly used
Even the Biden administration was forced to halt extensions in late 2024 after the scandal exploded.
Trump Takes Action — Supreme Court Backs Him
On his first day back in office, President Trump followed through on his America First promises and shut down the parole program permanently.
Last month, the Supreme Court upheld the Trump administration’s cancellation, clearing the path for immediate enforcement.
Migrants affected by the policy reversal are now being directed to self-deport using the CBP One Mobile App. In a move to encourage compliance, DHS is offering a $1,000 travel stipend for those who return to their home countries voluntarily.
What This Means for America’s Future
This bold step signals a return to strong borders, rule of law, and accountability.
“This isn’t just about immigration — it’s about putting American workers first, protecting national security, and restoring common sense,” McLaughlin said.
The Trump administration has promised more reforms in the weeks ahead to reverse the damage left behind by Biden’s open-border agenda.
America is back. And the law is back on our side.
