Trump Calls Out Musk’s ‘America Party’

Trump finally responded to Musk’s new party.

President Donald Trump didn’t hold back when asked about Elon Musk’s surprise launch of a new third party. During a televised Cabinet meeting on Tuesday, Trump delivered a confident verdict: “I think it’ll help us.”

The new “America Party,” announced by Musk over Independence Day weekend, has ignited a media frenzy. But Trump’s take? Let it burn—because it could split the anti-Trump vote just in time for 2024.

This comes after Musk publicly broke with Trump in May, resigning from his post at the Department of Government Efficiency and slamming the president’s newly passed One Big Beautiful Bill Act. Musk criticized the bill as wasteful—a claim the White House strongly denies.

Now, the billionaire CEO of Tesla and SpaceX is trying to shake up the system with what he calls “independence from the two-party (or uniparty) system.” Musk posted a question on his platform, X, asking followers if a new party should be formed. Over 1.2 million people responded—and 65% said yes.

But President Trump isn’t concerned. In fact, he sees it as a gift.

“Third parties always help me,” Trump said. “They create chaos for the other side. So if Musk wants to play politics, good luck.”

Elon Musk’s Political Gambit: Doomed or Dangerous?

Legal experts are already casting doubt on the success of Musk’s new political venture. Since he was born in South Africa, he’s ineligible to run for president under the U.S. Constitution. But that doesn’t stop him from backing candidates who can get on the ballot in all 50 states—if they can gather enough signatures.

Still, third-party candidates rarely make a dent in the general election. Their biggest impact? Peeling votes away from major-party contenders—which could actually help Trump in 2024.

Musk doubled down over the weekend, writing:

“Twice as many Americans are demanding a new political party—and now, it’s here. Our nation has been drained by corruption and reckless spending under a one-party rule disguised as democracy. The America Party is born today to restore your voice and your freedom.”

But not everyone is buying it.

Steve Bannon, Experts Rip Musk’s Move as a ‘Fantasy’

Former Trump adviser Steve Bannon didn’t mince words. He torched Musk on X, writing:

“The foul, the buffoon. Elmo the Mook… You’re not an American. You’re a South African.”

And political analysts agree. Nicholas Creel, a professor at Georgia College, wrote:

“The Democrat and Republican parties didn’t survive wars, depressions, and scandals by accident. They’re built on infrastructure, money, and organization. Musk’s party doesn’t stand a chance.”

Bottom Line: Trump Sees an Opening

President Trump may be one step closer to reclaiming the White House—thanks to a billionaire’s political experiment that’s dividing the left and confusing independents. With Musk pulling attention away from Biden and Democrats, Trump is staying focused on what matters: restoring the American dream, rebuilding our economy, and putting America First.
