Trump is on the way.

In a bold response to one of the worst natural disasters in Texas history, President Donald Trump announced Sunday he will visit the flood-stricken Texas Hill Country later this week. His emergency trip follows catastrophic flooding that has already taken the lives of over 80 Americans, including multiple children from a beloved Christian girls’ summer camp.

💬 “This is a hundred-year disaster — absolutely heartbreaking,” President Trump told reporters.

Speaking to the nation, Trump confirmed he plans to visit on Friday to assess the damage personally and offer support to families affected by what many are calling a “biblical-level flood event.” He clarified that his presence earlier could have interfered with emergency operations: “We didn’t want to get in the way of rescue crews. But I’ll be there soon.”

🔥 National Tragedy Hits Christian Community

The flood struck suddenly on Friday, turning the scenic Guadalupe River into a raging torrent. Entire communities were engulfed in minutes, and Camp Mystic — a Christian all-girls summer camp — became the site of a heartbreaking loss. So far, five girls between the ages of 8 and 9, one counselor, and the camp’s owner have been confirmed dead. Another eleven girls and one adult remain missing.

The death toll has reached 80 statewide, with 68 victims in Kerr County alone, including 28 children. Several of the deceased remain unidentified. Local officials say that number is expected to climb as recovery efforts continue.

🚁 Over 500 Rescues — and Counting

More than 525 daring rescue missions have been carried out across the state, including 366 airlifts, as first responders work nonstop to reach trapped survivors. Dozens of agencies from the local, state, and federal level are working in unity, showing the kind of community spirit Texans are known for.

“These are heroes — doing God’s work,” Trump said of the emergency crews.

💧 Who’s to Blame? Trump Points to Biden’s Failures

When questioned about whether recent federal efficiency reforms impacted the National Weather Service’s readiness, Trump was crystal clear.

“Absolutely not. Those cuts didn’t cause this,” he said. “That’s Biden’s setup. This never would’ve happened under our leadership.”

In a rare moment, however, the president stopped short of full blame: “I wouldn’t even hold Biden responsible for this disaster.”

Still, conservatives across the country are raising questions about why flood warnings and evacuations came too late, and whether government mismanagement played a role in the tragedy.

🌧 More Rain on the Way — Flood Watch Extended

The National Weather Service has extended its flood watch for central Texas, warning that another 2 to 4 inches of rain are expected — with up to 10 inches possible in isolated areas. The added rainfall could worsen conditions for already-devastated communities and hamper recovery.

🙏 A Nation in Prayer — And a President on the Move
