Nobody expected this!

In an unexpected turn of events, former President Donald Trump has nothing but kind words for his former Vice President Mike Pence. Trump and Pence’s relationship crumbled following the 2020 presidential election and Trump’s MAGA supporters also turned on him as well.

According to The Hill, Trump shockingly referred to Mike Pence as an “honorable man” after news broke that Pence was getting subpoenaed by the Department of Justice’s special counsel that is trying to investigate Trump for multiple reasons.

“Mike Pence is an honorable man,” Trump said while speaking to Fox News.

Trump’s comments came just one day after reports surfaced that special counsel Jack Smith has subpoenaed Pence.

Smith has been appointed to oversee Trump’s case by President Biden’s Attorney General Merrick Garland for his role in the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol attack and over the discovery of classified documents found inside Mar-a-Lago.

Trump’s relationship with Mike Pence crumbled immediately after the 2020 presidential election when Pence refused to block the certification of the 2020 election.

Trump attacked Pence and said, “Mike Pence didn’t have the courage to do what should have been done.”

Trump also defended Pence after it was learned that he had classified documents in his home as well. Trump said, “Mike Pence is an innocent man. He never did anything knowingly dishonest in his life. Leave him alone!!!”
