The feud is heating up.
With Florida Governor Ron DeSantis expected to announce his 2024 presidential run in a matter of months, former President Donald Trump is already ramping up his attacks on DeSantis because he knows DeSantis won’t be easy to face off against.
While it is known that Republicans voters love both DeSantis and Trump, it is important to remember that the Republican Party needs the best candidate in 2024. It may not be pleasing to see the top two Republican get into an ugly battle for the 2024 GOP nomination, but it still needs to happen.
According to Newsmax, Trump mocked DeSantis by sharing a picture of the two of them together on Truth Social and asked, “Who is that in the blue tie being so nice to the President of the United States while in the Oval Office?”
Meanwhile, Governor DeSantis has been openly taking questions from reporters about running in the 2024 presidential election however he has not mentioned Trump by name once when talking about it.
Trump on the other hand has referred to DeSantis as “very disloyal” if he chooses to run against him because he Trump believes that DeSantis owes his political career to him. Trump has endorsed DeSantis a number of times now and he believes that DeSantis would not be the Florida governor without his help.
Trump has also given DeSantis as nickname which is something he has been doing since 2016. Trump has called DeSantis “Ron DeSanctimonious” suggesting that the Florida governor thinks of himself as someone who is “morally superior” to others.
If DeSantis does announce his 2024 run, the lead up to the election will be highly controversial with both men attacking each other to win the support of the Republican voter base. Republican voters should not stress about issue and let the cards fall where they may.
