Trump Signs New Executive Order

America First and hopefully always.

President Donald J. Trump has signed a powerful new executive order aimed at reviving U.S. manufacturing, protecting American jobs, and cutting dependence on foreign parts.

On Friday, the President announced a sweeping plan to offset the impact of auto tariffs with expanded credits for car manufacturers who build vehicles right here in the United States.

Under the new order, automakers that import foreign parts will now receive a 3.75% offset on the retail price of each vehicle until 2030 — a full three years longer than the previous 2027 deadline.

According to the White House, this offset mirrors the expected tax impact of a 25% tariff on imported components that make up roughly 15% of a U.S.-assembled car’s total value.

Boosting American Industry and Protecting Jobs

The Trump administration also announced a 10% tariff on imported buses and a 25% tariff on medium- and heavy-duty trucks, set to take effect November 1.
The move is part of President Trump’s “America First” economic agenda, which prioritizes U.S. jobs, fair trade, and national independence from unreliable foreign supply chains.

Industry insiders report that automakers faced over $1 billion in projected losses under earlier tariff rules, but Trump’s new executive order is expected to stabilize the industry and encourage domestic production.

A senior administration official praised the move, saying:

“We want to incentivize domestic manufacturing. For the parts that have to be imported, this credit lets companies offset tariff costs while still building vehicles right here in the United States.”

Trump’s Economic Vision: Made in America

This is not the first time President Trump has stepped in to defend U.S. manufacturers. Earlier this year, he signed another executive order protecting American companies from being taxed twice under the nation’s updated trade laws.

Together, these actions underscore Trump’s long-term vision: rebuild American manufacturing, restore economic sovereignty, and make the United States the undisputed leader in global production once again.

For millions of American workers, the message is clear — “Made in the USA” is back.
