Trump Wins Against Canada

Trump was right. Again.

President Donald Trump has once again proven that tough leadership delivers results. Canada announced Friday that it will roll back a wide range of tariffs on American goods—an unmistakable victory for Trump’s America First trade agenda.

Prime Minister Mark Carney told reporters in Ottawa that Canada will lift tariffs on U.S. products covered under the U.S.-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA). While some duties on steel, aluminum, and autos will remain, the majority of restrictions are gone—restoring freer trade on the goods that matter most to American farmers, manufacturers, and consumers.

Carney openly admitted that Trump’s direct pressure forced Canada’s hand. “Canada currently has the best trade deal with the United States. And while it’s different from before, it’s still better than what any other country has,” Carney said, conceding that Trump secured a stronger position for America.

The White House celebrated the move, calling it long overdue. “We welcome this step by Canada,” a senior official told FOX News. “President Trump has made it clear—America will not tolerate unfair trade practices.”

This reversal marks Canada’s second major concession in recent months. In June, Ottawa scrapped plans for a digital services tax that would have hit U.S. tech companies. Last month, Carney’s government also abandoned threats to escalate tariffs if no agreement was reached by August. Trump’s firm stance left Canada with no choice but to back down.

The United States and Canada remain top trading partners. Nearly 80% of Canada’s exports go straight to the U.S., while half of its imports come from American businesses. U.S. exports to Canada include vehicles, energy, machinery, and $30 billion in agricultural goods. Canada, in turn, sends energy, vehicles, and over $40 billion in farm products to American markets.

This latest development is proof that President Trump’s strategy works: by refusing to cave to weak trade deals and globalist pressure, he forced one of America’s closest allies to retreat and respect U.S. workers. For millions of Americans, this victory reinforces a simple truth—when Trump fights, America wins.
