These Democrats are playing even dirtier games!

Ty Cobb, a former White House lawyer during the Trump administration, expressed on Wednesday evening that a recently surfaced audio recording, alleged to contain a conversation where former President Trump discusses a classified document he obtained from the White House, severely undermines Trump’s defense in the ongoing investigation by the Justice Department into classified documents.

According to The Hill, During an interview with CNN’s Erin Burnett, Ty Cobb emphasized that the audio recording substantially weakens the validity of Trump’s previous claims, wherein he argued that he possessed the authority to declassify documents merely by removing them from the White House or by contemplating the act of declassification.

Cobb asserted that the audio recording significantly strengthens the obstruction case, as it completely dismantles the two defenses that Trump has previously relied upon.

Earlier on Wednesday, CNN reported that the Department of Justice (DOJ) had acquired the recording in question, capturing Trump’s conversation about the document that pertains to a potential U.S. strike on Iran. The discussion took place during a meeting at Trump’s golf club in Bedminster, New Jersey, in July 2021.

Trump and his allies have mounted a defense of his actions regarding the removal of classified and sensitive documents from the White House to various locations, including his Mar-a-Lago estate in Palm Beach, Florida. They argue that Trump declassified these documents.

Cobb, in his CNN interview, highlighted that Trump’s arguments are rendered invalid since, on the tape, Trump explicitly acknowledged his awareness of the limitations imposed on him regarding the handling of the documents.

President Biden and the Democrats have put an unprecedented amount of time and money into destroying Donald Trump. Republican voters should pray for Trump and this country that they do not succeed in doing so.
