Has Carlson ditched Trump?
While many Americans may have not heard of him yet, Many top donors and figures in the Republican party have high hopes for Blake Masters who is a 35-year-old neophyte politician.
According to Politico, everyone from conservative Silicon Valley billionaire Peter Thiel, who has already donated nearly $14 million into Masters candidacy, and Fox’s Tucker Carlson are currently pushing to get Masters into politics.
Blake Masters is currently hoping to get a major boost into winning the GOP’s Senate nomination in Arizona by getting an endorsement from former President Donald Trump which has not yet happened.
Controversy is rising however because Fox’s Tucker Carlson not only wants to see Masters in Republican politics, he wants Masters to become the future of the GOP. While 2024 is still a long ways away, most conservatives want Trump to hold the title of the “future of the GOP” not Masters. However, Carlson appears to think otherwise.
Carlson has repeatedly called Masters “the future of the Republican Party” while on Fox and many Conservatives think that Masters is still far from that. For example Trump is still clearly the elephant in the room along with several other top candidates such as Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.
