Even Democrats are speaking up now.

Not only has President Biden not done anything to help Republican states deal with their migrants issues, but now things have gotten so bad that even Democrat leaders can’t handle it and Biden does not care!

On Tuesday, New York City Mayor Eric Adams addressed questions about a potential meeting with President Biden during the president’s visit to the city for the United Nations General Assembly. Tensions between the two Democrats have risen amidst the city’s ongoing migrant crisis.

According to Fox, during an unrelated press conference focused on the city’s transportation department’s efforts to combat rat infestations, Mayor Adams emphasized his transparency, stating that all his meetings would be on his public schedule. He acknowledged that President Biden was in the city and expressed hope that the president understood the challenges faced by New York City however little was ever done to help. The mayor highlighted the financial burden the city was shouldering due to the migrant crisis, with billions already spent and more expected in the coming fiscal cycles.

When pressed about a specific meeting with President Biden, Mayor Adams urged the president and his team to reflect on the city’s efforts and the crisis at hand. He noted that he had not spoken to the president since earlier in the year when they discussed the migrant crisis. Adams had previously criticized President Biden, resulting in his removal from the president’s re-election team.

Meanwhile, Governor Kathy Hochul, a Democrat, shared on social media that she had a productive conversation with President Biden regarding assistance with the migrant crisis. She commended the president’s leadership at the United Nations.

Rep. Nicole Malliotakis, a Republican, responded to the governor’s post, questioning the effectiveness of the conversation and expressing concerns about the ongoing crisis.

The migrant crisis in New York City has seen over 110,000 migrants arrive, with more than 60,000 still in the city’s care. Both Mayor Adams and Governor Hochul have called on the Biden administration to grant federal work authorization for migrants, and the governor is considering the possibility of migrant work visas at the state level. The cost of supporting asylum seekers is estimated to be around $10 million per day by Manhattan Borough President Mark Levine.

President Biden, who did not address the border crisis during his U.N. General Assembly speech and hosted a reception at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, is scheduled to meet with other world leaders during his visit to New York. Mayor Adams has also met with international dignitaries this week. However, neither President Biden nor Mayor Adams has listed a meeting with each other on their public schedules since the president’s arrival in New York on Monday.
