Liberals are crying right now.

In preparation of his 2024 presidential run, former President Donald Trump and his team is working to regain control of his social media accounts on platforms such as Twitter, Facebook and more.

According to NBC, with Trump already back on Twitter thanks to Elon Musk, Trump’s team is now petitioning Meta to let him back onto Facebook after he was blocked following the Capitol riot.

Trump’s campaign wrote to Meta saying, “We believe that the ban on President Trump’s account on Facebook has dramatically distorted and inhibited the public discourse.”

Trump did not threaten Meta with a lawsuit but instead talked to them about the importance of free speech and asked to hold a “meeting to discuss President Trump’s prompt reinstatement to the platform.”

While Meta did not issue any statements about Trump’s request to get back on Facebook, they said they “will announce a decision in the coming weeks in line with the process we laid out.”

One Republican who asked to remain anonymous explained, “Trump is probably coming back to Twitter. It’s just a question of how and when. He’s been talking about it for weeks, but Trump speaks for Trump, so it’s anyone’s guess what he’ll do or say or when.”

Another Trump advisor brought up Democrat Adam Schiff, who was working behind the scenes to get Trump banned from social media platforms, and said it can no longer continue. “If Facebook wants to have this fight, fine, but the House is leverage, and keeping Trump off Facebook just looks political,” the Trump advisor said.

Adam Schiff supported Trump being banned from social media and defended his argument saying, “Trump has continued to post harmful election content on Truth Social that would likely violate Facebook’s policies, and we have every reason to believe he would bring similar conspiratorial rhetoric back to Facebook, if given the chance.”
