Get a load of this nonsense!
This is getting ridiculous.
It now appears that Democratic Rep. Katie Porter is spreading claims that former President Donald Trump was somehow involved in a bribery scheme during his term in office.
According to Salon, Rep. Porter went on MSNBC and claimed that Donald Trump colluded with his Secretary of the Interior, Ryan Zinke, former Deputy Secretary of the Interior, David Bernhardt, and real estate developer, Mike Ingram.
Porter is claiming that both Bernhardt and Ingram and a secret meeting which resulted in a form of quid pro quo.
Porter is suggesting that after the secret meeting, the Army Corp. of Engineers announced that they were reopening the permit process for an area in Arizona which was previously restricted because it was considered as “environmentally sensitive.”
After the previously restricted area was reopened, Porter claims that Ingram and several other of his business acquaintances donated $250,000 to the Trump Victory Fund and to the Republican National Committee (RNC).
Basically is appears that Porter is accusing Trump of using his power to make protected land available for purchase and sale to gain monetary compensation.
“This developer was basically able to buy his away around environmental protection law,” Porter explained.
