Judge Screws Trump Over Again

These judges are out of control.

A federal judge in Boston has once again stepped in to block a key part of President Trump’s conservative agenda—this time by shielding Planned Parenthood from funding cuts that were included in the GOP’s new tax and health care law.

U.S. District Judge Indira Talwani issued a sweeping ruling on Monday, preventing the Trump administration from enforcing a ban on Medicaid funding to all 47 Planned Parenthood affiliates nationwide. Just last week, the same judge had issued a narrower decision protecting only 10 affiliates.

Now, with her latest order, Planned Parenthood—the nation’s largest abortion provider—can continue collecting millions in taxpayer-funded reimbursements, even though many Americans strongly oppose public dollars being funneled into abortion-linked organizations.

A Blow to Taxpayer Accountability

The law in question, passed under President Trump’s leadership, included a commonsense provision: a one-year pause on Medicaid funding for nonprofits that provide abortions and received over $800,000 in federal funds in 2023. The goal was simple—end backdoor taxpayer support for abortion providers.

But Judge Talwani’s ruling now blocks that provision entirely.

In her order, Talwani argued that cutting funding could lead to “unintended pregnancies” and “adverse health consequences”—language that critics say reads more like Planned Parenthood’s press releases than an impartial legal ruling.

Planned Parenthood Pushes Political Agenda—And Gets Paid for It

The lawsuit was filed by Planned Parenthood Federation of America and its regional affiliates. While they present themselves as health care providers, many Americans view them as a political machine focused on abortion activism, not patient care.

Health and Human Services spokesperson Andrew Nixon slammed the judge’s decision, saying:

“States should not be forced to fund organizations that have chosen political advocacy over patient care. This ruling undermines state flexibility and longstanding principles of accountability.”

Federal Law Already Prohibits Funding Most Abortions—So Why the Fight?

Under existing law, taxpayer money cannot directly fund abortions, but Planned Parenthood still receives hundreds of millions each year for other services—money that many believe helps subsidize abortion operations.

The Trump-backed law sought to end that loophole by targeting organizations that provide both abortions and general health services. But now, thanks to this judge’s intervention, that accountability measure is on hold.

Planned Parenthood President Alexis McGill Johnson celebrated the ruling, stating they will continue to provide birth control, STI testing, and cancer screenings using Medicaid dollars. But those services could easily be provided through local clinics and community health centers that don’t push radical social agendas.

The Bigger Picture: A Judicial Power Grab

This case is just the latest example of unelected judges stepping in to overturn the will of the people and block Trump-era reforms. Many conservatives see it as judicial overreach and a direct challenge to pro-life values and state sovereignty.

It also raises deeper questions:

  • Why should taxpayers be forced to fund groups that engage in partisan advocacy?
  • Why can’t states decide how their Medicaid dollars are spent?
  • How long will activist judges be allowed to rewrite laws from the bench?

Bottom Line: Conservatives Must Stay Vigilant

This ruling is a stark reminder that the fight for life, liberty, and fiscal responsibility is far from over. President Trump and his allies are working to restore American values, but their efforts continue to face resistance from entrenched bureaucrats and left-leaning judges.

As the case moves forward, millions of conservatives will be watching closely—and demanding accountability.
