But the high court has dragged its feet. Opponents of the administration’s petition have been given until April 4 to file their defense — allowing the obstruction to continue.

Constitutional conservatives on the Supreme Court, including Justices Samuel Alito, Neil Gorsuch, Clarence Thomas, and Brett Kavanaugh, have openly criticized the growing abuse of national injunctions.

Roberts didn’t mention Trump by name, but his message was clear. And many conservatives are left wondering whether the Chief Justice is truly committed to checking judicial activism.
