In a shocking turn of events, McCarthy decided to get into bed with McConnell and the Democrats and throw Trump under the bus.
McCarthy agreed that the January 6 protests were a “violent insurrection” which makes Trump’s chances of running for re-election all that much harder in 2024.
According to the Daily Mail, McCarthy was asked if he agreed with McConnell’s assessment that the January 6th protest was a “violent insurrection.”
‘No one would disagree with that,’ McCarthy told reporters while standing on Capitol Hill.
McCarthy appears to have knelt to Democrats after they mocked him for siding with the RNC to censure Adam Kinzinger and Liz Cheney.
