Even the far-left liberal media is now calling Biden a liar.

The White House Correspondents’ Association (WHCA) issued a strong response to criticism from White House Counsel’s Office spokesman Ian Sams regarding the reporting on the Hur report. Sams had expressed dissatisfaction with member organizations, accusing them of misrepresenting the findings of the report, particularly regarding President Biden’s cognitive abilities.

Recent efforts by the White House aimed to discredit certain aspects of Special Counsel Robert Hur’s report, which had raised concerns about President Biden’s mental acuity. While acknowledging the report’s exoneration of Biden regarding his handling of classified documents, Sams vehemently disagreed with Hur’s characterization of the president as an “elderly man with a poor memory.”

In a letter addressed to WHCA President Kelly O’Donnell and its members, Sams criticized the association for allegedly perpetuating inaccuracies in their reporting on Hur’s conclusions. He claimed that questions posed by reporters in the White House briefing room were often based on false premises or contained misleading content, emphasizing the importance of addressing such errors in coverage.

Sams cited examples of headlines and stories that he believed misrepresented the report’s findings, particularly regarding allegations of willful retention and disclosure of classified material by the president.

O’Donnell responded to Sams’ letter, rebuffing its contents as “misdirected.” She emphasized the WHCA’s role as a non-profit organization dedicated to advocating for its members’ journalistic freedom, rejecting any attempt by the White House to influence or critique news coverage through internal channels. Essentially The WHCA called President Biden and his White House liars straight to their faces.

Asserting the White House’s ample resources to address concerns directly with individual reporters or outlets, O’Donnell underscored the WHCA’s longstanding commitment to journalistic independence. She welcomed further opportunities for reporters to question the president, the White House counsel, or the president’s personal attorney regarding the Hur report or any other pertinent matter.

The exchange between Sams and a reporter, where Sams appeared flustered and questioned his offense at the challenge to his credentials, underscored the tension surrounding the issue. However, O’Donnell’s firm stance reiterated the WHCA’s dedication to upholding journalistic integrity and resisting external pressures on reporting.
