Ocasio-Cortez Uses God Against Trump

How childish and downright dumb.

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) recently took to social media to mock former President Donald Trump in light of inclement weather expected ahead of his scheduled rally in the Bronx.

God is Good 🙏🏽,” Ocasio-Cortez posted on Thursday on the social media platform X, in response to news that rain was falling around 10 a.m. in Crotona Park, the designated rally location.

The New York Democrat has been vocal about her disdain for Trump’s campaign activities in the South Bronx, attributing his rally to what she called a “legal version of an ankle bracelet.”

“Donald Trump is financially struggling. He’s organizing a rally to deceive people and exploit them for money to cover his legal costs,” she remarked earlier in the week.

Trump announced plans for the Thursday evening rally in Crotona Park, a vibrant and diverse area, just as the jury in Manhattan prepared to deliver a verdict in the hush money case in which he faces 34 felony charges. This event appears to be part of his strategy to appeal to minority voters.

Rep. Ritchie Torres (D-N.Y.), who represents New York’s 15th Congressional District where the rally is set to take place, also criticized Trump’s visit.

“Donald Trump is a criminal suspect with 91 felony charges, desperately seeking a self-pardon,” Torres posted on Wednesday. “The only place Trump should be in the Bronx is in Bronx Criminal Court.”

Both Ocasio-Cortez and Torres emphasize Trump’s legal troubles and suggest his rally is a misguided attempt to garner support amid his ongoing legal battles.
