Putin Trolls Trump?

Why is Putin playing these games?

President Donald J. Trump is once again leading with strength on the global stage—this time urging Ukraine and Russia to sit down and negotiate immediately, as Russian President Vladimir Putin backs out of high-stakes peace talks set for Istanbul.

Despite proposing the summit himself, Putin is noticeably absent from the official list of attendees released by the Kremlin. Instead, longtime Putin ally Vladimir Medinsky will head the Russian delegation.

Zelensky Attending In Person — Waiting for Putin

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed he will be in Istanbul for the Thursday summit and publicly stated he is expecting Putin to appear “personally.” The two leaders have not met face-to-face since 2019.

Zelensky will be joined by a U.S. delegation led by Secretary of State Marco Rubio, signaling strong American interest in ending what many now call the deadliest European war since WWII.

Trump: ‘Have the Meeting, NOW!’

President Trump, currently in the Middle East on a diplomatic mission, may not be at the talks physically—but he’s very much in command of the conversation.

On Truth Social, he made his stance clear:

“Ukraine should agree to this, IMMEDIATELY… HAVE THE MEETING, NOW!!!”

Trump added that at the very least, this would reveal whether peace is achievable—and if not, U.S. and European leaders can plan accordingly.

Trump: “We May See Some Very Good News”

Speaking to American troops in Qatar, Trump hinted that momentum may already be building:

“It sounds like there’s some encouraging news developing today—possibly continuing into tomorrow and even Friday. We’ll have to wait and see.”

Trump also floated the idea of imposing secondary sanctions on Russia if peace talks stall—just as he did successfully with Iran.

“I reimposed secondary sanctions on Iran, and I’m hopeful Russia will make the right call—because one way or another, action will be taken.”

Three Years of War. Zero Results From Biden.

The Ukraine conflict began in February 2022 under Joe Biden’s failed leadership. But now, President Trump is pushing for a true path to peace—through strength, not surrender.

As the only world leader with the will to act decisively, Trump is once again showing why Americans trust him to restore stability at home and abroad.
