Putin Makes Shocking Trump Confession

Could Joe Biden have done this?

Dmitry Medvedev, Russia’s Deputy Chairman of the Security Council, recently commented that the recent talks between President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin helped avert what he described as “the brink of the Apocalypse.” Medvedev criticized the United States for assuming the role of global enforcer, claiming it was a grave error that brought the world to the edge of catastrophe. He said that this move nearly led to the destruction of humanity, but conveniently left out the context that Russia’s invasion of Ukraine prompted a unified Western response to support Ukraine in its defense against Russian aggression.

Medvedev’s remarks emphasized the need for American elites and the so-called “deep state” to understand the gravity of the situation, warning that the “Doomsday Clock” would continue ticking toward midnight if the West fails to act wisely. Trump’s statement on Truth Social, following his call with Putin, caused a stir when he said peace talks would begin “immediately.” This came shortly after U.S. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth said it was unrealistic to expect Ukraine to be allowed into NATO, which drew sharp reactions from European leaders.

Kaja Kallas, the EU’s foreign policy chief, voiced concerns over the idea of yielding to Russia’s demands prematurely, arguing that any peace agreement must involve both Ukraine and Europe. She emphasized that any weak deal would not only harm Ukraine but also embolden adversaries like China. Lithuanian and Estonian defense officials warned against relying on Putin and Trump to resolve the conflict. They called for European leaders to step up and take charge of the situation, arguing that Europe must not let external forces dictate its future.

The debate centers on whether Europe, alongside the U.S., will play a central role in shaping the outcome in Ukraine or whether negotiations will bypass the region’s direct involvement. As European leaders and officials like U.K. Prime Minister Keir Starmer asserted, Ukraine’s voice must be central to any peace process. With tensions escalating, the path forward remains unclear, but the call for strength and unity in the face of Russian aggression remains louder than ever.
