Could Bolton soon be behind bars?
Former Trump National Security Adviser John Bolton is facing explosive allegations that could end his long career in Washington. Senior FBI insiders revealed that Bolton — one of the loudest anti-Trump voices on television — may have secretly mishandled classified national security documents and funneled them to family members through a private server.
According to high-ranking law enforcement officials, federal agents raided Bolton’s Maryland home and Washington, D.C. office Friday morning, uncovering what one source described as “a lot” of potential evidence. The raid reignited questions about why the Biden administration’s Justice Department previously buried the case, despite what investigators call “air-tight” proof of wrongdoing.
Allegations of Secret Transfers
The controversy began back in 2020, when intelligence sources flagged Bolton for allegedly transferring top-secret files from his White House desk to his wife and daughter shortly before President Trump fired him in 2019. Officials say these documents were “highly sensitive” and potentially damaging to U.S. security.
Importantly, this case is separate from the earlier investigation into Bolton’s 2020 book, The Room Where It Happened, which critics slammed for leaking national security details and profiting off his White House position.
Biden’s FBI Shelved the Case
Instead of moving forward, the Biden Justice Department shelved the probe, leading many to believe the White House shielded Bolton because of his relentless attacks on Trump.
“The Biden team had probable cause to know Bolton stole material harmful to America’s security, and they made no effort to retrieve it,” one senior FBI official told The Post. “They accused Trump of weaponizing law enforcement, but in reality, they weaponized the FBI by shutting down a righteous investigation.”
Patel Revives the Probe
Sources say FBI Director Kash Patel only discovered the Bolton case weeks after his Senate confirmation earlier this year. Patel reportedly demanded a full briefing on all classified cases — and was shocked to learn the Bolton file had been gathering dust for four years.
Patel authorized the raid after realizing investigators were blocked from pursuing Bolton during Biden’s term. The operation turned up boxes of potential evidence, both at Bolton’s home and at his downtown D.C. office.
What Comes Next?
Bolton has become a media darling for left-wing outlets, using cable news to attack Trump at every turn. Conservatives argue this explains why Biden’s DOJ kept him untouched — protecting a Trump critic instead of protecting America’s security.
Now, with evidence in hand, federal agents are confident in their case. The Department of Justice reportedly has no plans to charge Bolton’s wife or daughter, but all eyes are on whether Bolton himself will finally be held accountable.
For millions of Americans, this raises a bigger question:
👉 Will Washington’s swamp finally drain one of its own, or will politics once again shield a well-connected insider?
