Trump Enrages China With Latest Move

China is fuming and this is why we elected Trump.

President Donald Trump’s recent initiative to establish an office of shipbuilding is a bold and strategic move aimed at revitalizing America’s struggling maritime industry, sending a powerful message to China, and strengthening U.S. national security. According to expert Gordon Chang, this move comes at a critical time, with tensions escalating between the U.S. and China, which has increasingly ramped up aggressive rhetoric and military advancements.

Appearing on FOX Business, Chang, a senior fellow at the Gatestone Institute, stressed that while the U.S. can rely on allies like Japan and South Korea to help meet some of the demand for shipbuilding, it’s clear that those countries alone won’t be enough to secure American interests. “We need to build ships in America,” Chang emphasized. “We must not depend on others for our national defense.” The establishment of a dedicated shipbuilding office at the White House sends a clear and much-needed signal that the U.S. is serious about reasserting its dominance in this critical sector.

While Japan’s shipbuilding industry is unlikely to pose any issues for the U.S., Chang raised concerns about South Korea’s political instability. With the country potentially leaning towards a leftist government, the U.S. may not be able to count on South Korea in the long term, despite their current role as a key ally.

Trump’s plan, presented in his speech to Congress, includes not just the creation of the office but also the introduction of new tax incentives to breathe life back into the American shipbuilding industry. The U.S. currently lags behind China, which controls over half of the global shipbuilding market. However, Trump’s focus on American resilience and military strength is crucial in countering China’s growing influence and military capabilities, such as hypersonic missiles and advanced naval ships.

In response to China’s threats of trade war and military conflict, Trump’s administration is also preparing an executive order with 18 measures designed to protect and support American shipbuilders. This includes raising tariffs on Chinese-built ships and improving wages for workers at nuclear shipyards, ensuring America’s maritime industry remains a pillar of national strength and security.

By re-establishing a strong and self-reliant shipbuilding industry, Trump is making sure America stands ready to meet the challenges of an increasingly hostile world. This initiative is not just about ships; it’s about sending a message that America will no longer outsource its future or security.
