Trump’s DOGE Catches Who Taking Millions?

This senseless flow of millions of dollars MUST be cut off.

The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) recently terminated a lucrative contract with a nonprofit organization that was being paid millions of dollars every month to manage a Texas overflow facility—one that remained largely unused, according to the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).

In a social media post, DOGE revealed that a former U.S. Customs and Immigration Enforcement (ICE) official, who was also part of President Biden’s transition team, joined Family Endeavors in early 2021. This move led to the organization securing a sole-source HHS contract to provide overflow housing for unaccompanied migrant children, bypassing the typical competitive bidding process.

Thanks to this contract, Family Endeavors saw an astronomical increase in its financial portfolio, growing from $8.3 million in 2020 to a staggering $520.4 million by 2023, according to the DOGE. Since March 2024, the HHS had been paying $18 million per month for a facility in Pecos, Texas, intended to house migrant children. However, reports indicate that the facility had been largely empty, with the payments continuing despite this lack of occupancy.

With licensed facility occupancy rates now dropping below 20% nationwide, the HHS was finally able to terminate this wasteful contract, saving American taxpayers an estimated $215 million annually, DOGE confirmed in their post.

Fox News Digital has reached out to Endeavors for comment, while the U.S. Attorney for Washington, D.C., Ed Martin, also weighed in on the matter, vowing to investigate the situation further.

DOGE, led by Elon Musk, has gained attention for its aggressive stance on eliminating wasteful government spending, with Musk predicting that the Department of Government Efficiency could meet its ambitious $100 trillion spending cut target if it cuts $4 billion a day through September, according to Fox News. This incident is just one example of the inefficiencies plaguing our government and the ongoing need for oversight and accountability in taxpayer-funded programs.
