Two Top Democrats Test Positive

Here’s what happened…

It now appears that Senator Elizabeth Warren and Senator Cory Booker have both contracted the coronavirus and were both fully vaccinated and had their booster shots.

This comes a surprise to many and what’s worse is that both of these senators need to be in congress to help President Biden pass the Build Back Better bill however it is unlikely they will be able to remain there.

Following their diagnosis Senator Warren took to Twitter and wrote, “I regularly test for COVID & while I tested negative earlier this week, today I tested positive with a breakthrough case. Thankfully, I am only experiencing mild symptoms & am grateful for the protection provided against serious illness that comes from being vaccinated & boosted.”

Then, not long after Warren released that she was infected with covid-19, Senator Cory Booker also released a statement saying that he had contracted the virus as well.

Booker took to social media and conveyed a similar sentiment and wrote, “I learned today that I tested positive for COVID-19 after first feeling symptoms on Saturday. My symptoms are relatively mild. I’m beyond grateful to have received two doses of vaccine and, more recently, a booster – I’m certain that without them I would be doing much worse.”

Both Booker and Warren took President Biden’s advice and continued to urge all Americans to get vaccinated against the virus and as omicron continues to spread across America.

Currently, President Biden needs every Democrats in the Senate to help him pass his Build Back Better bill. It is unclear what he will do with both Booker and Warren sidelined like this with the virus, only time will tell.
