On Monday, Tennessee Republican Representative Andy Ogles took the initiative to introduce articles of impeachment targeting President Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris.
According to Fox, Ogles’ articles of impeachment allege that President Biden has utilized the powers of the presidency, both during his tenure as president and vice president, to protect his family’s business and influence-peddling endeavors from congressional scrutiny and public accountability.
Furthermore, the articles of impeachment also claim that President Biden has acted in a manner that goes against the public’s trust and undermines constitutional governance, resulting in significant harm to the cause of law and justice, as well as causing evident harm to the people of the United States. This is particularly evident in his management of the ongoing crisis at the southern border.
Ogles’ endeavor is anticipated to encounter significant challenges in the House, as only a small faction of Republicans has advocated for the impeachment of President Biden.
In Harris’ impeachment articles, her performance as vice president and her management of the southern border crisis are the focal points of criticism. The articles allege that the vice president has exhibited exceptional incompetence in carrying out her duties and responsibilities, along with a lack of concern for the suffering endured by Americans due to the ongoing crisis at the southern border.
In a statement to Fox News Digital, Ogles expressed his viewpoint by stating, “Joe Biden’s leadership has not only been a colossal failure for the American people, but it has also entailed a violation of his solemn oath to uphold, safeguard, and defend the Constitution of the United States.”
The Tennessee Republican further asserted that “Joe Biden has consistently misused his position of authority, both during his tenure as vice president and president, in order to conceal his questionable family business transactions and misuse taxpayer resources for personal gain.”
“The American people know they can’t depend on the so-called ‘Department of Justice’ to investigate the Biden family’s corruption, and so it’s up to the U.S. Congress to hold him accountable once and for all,” Ogles pointed out.
Ogles went on to state, “Biden’s actions have brought disgrace to the Oval Office, and it is imperative that he be removed from his position and held accountable for his serious offenses against the United States.” Additionally, Ogles referred to Harris as Biden’s “accomplice” and highlighted her repeated displays of exceptional incompetence.
