America needs this dream duo!

Former President Trump has expressed his openness to the idea of considering Tucker Carlson as a potential running mate in the 2024 election. During an appearance on “The Clay Travis and Buck Sexton Show,” Trump voiced his admiration for Carlson, stating, “I like Tucker a lot; I guess I would. I think I’d say I would because he’s got great common sense.”

According to The Hill, Trump emphasized that their conservatism is rooted in what he considers to be common-sense principles, such as securing borders and building walls for their effectiveness.

It’s worth noting that Carlson’s tenure at Fox News ended in April, shortly after Fox News agreed to a $787 million settlement with Dominion Voting Systems to resolve defamation claims out of court. Following his departure from Fox, Carlson launched a video series on the X platform, formerly known as Twitter, while remaining under contract with Fox.

In the past, Carlson and Trump had a wide-ranging interview on Carlson’s X program during the first Republican presidential primary debate in August. However, tensions between Trump and Fox News had been escalating, with Trump being displeased by the network’s decision to remove Carlson from the air.

During Dominion’s litigation, internal communications from top Fox News hosts, including Carlson, were made public. These messages revealed criticisms of Trump and skepticism regarding his unfounded claims of election irregularities in the 2020 election. Some messages also contained offensive language used by Carlson when referring to female Fox executives and racially-charged language concerning the January 6, 2021, attack on the U.S. Capitol by Trump supporters.

While Trump maintains a strong lead in the 2024 GOP primary field, Carlson has consistently dismissed questions about his own potential presidential candidacy.
