This is fantastic news!
White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt is preparing to welcome a little girl, according to reporting from Fox News Digital, marking a significant personal moment during the Trump administration.
Leavitt and her spouse, Nick, are expecting their 2nd child in May 2026. Their son, Niko, was born in July 2024, and the family says they are thankful to be expanding their household while continuing public service.
“My husband and I are incredibly thankful and excited as we prepare to welcome another child,” Leavitt said. “Becoming a mother has been one of the greatest blessings of my life, and I’m deeply grateful to God for our growing family.”
Leavitt also emphasized the support she has received from President Donald Trump and senior White House leadership, crediting the administration for fostering what she described as a strong, family-focused workplace environment.
“I’m extremely grateful to President Trump and to Chief of Staff Susie Wiles for their encouragement and understanding,” Leavitt said. “There is a genuine culture of support here, especially among colleagues who are balancing demanding careers with raising young families.”
According to Leavitt, many staff members working in the West Wing are parents of young children, creating a shared understanding of the challenges families face while serving in high-pressure roles at the White House.
Looking ahead, Leavitt said she is optimistic about both her personal future and the nation’s direction.
“2026 is shaping up to be an important year for the country,” she said. “On a personal level, I’m especially excited to become a girl mom.”
A senior administration official said Leavitt plans to continue serving as press secretary during her pregnancy. Doing so would make her the first person in the role to hold the position while expecting a child.
